About Michael Gannon
Before he was a self taught hat maker, Michael Gannon was an avid vintage men's hat collector. His first purchase over 15 years ago was a vintage Stetson hat and the quality and craftsmanship far surpassed any of his modern hats. Gannon began to procure more and more vintage men’s hats and had a growing affinity for men’s hats from the early to mid 20th century. What began as a collection turned into a passion for the art and craft of hatmaking. Studying these classic men's hats, he began to teach himself how to recreate his favorite styles using hat making methods practiced for decades. Michael started Gannon Hat Company in 2014.
